Latest Good News Story in The Adelaide Advertiser for Clintel Systems.

A leader in Medical Software and Surgical Software

Clintel Systems’ Nick Cuthbertson regards Adelaide as an ideal base to build a medical software business.

Its focus is centred on software to support clinical management and care in aged and acute care sectors, the management of medical records, appointments, surgical lists and day surgery, plus patient billing.

Patient satisfaction and cost containment are among the many benefits.

This involves providing software and ongoing service and support for healthcare providers.

Clintel Systems has expanded rapidly since 2004 under the ownership of Mr Cuthbertson, who has always had an interest in technology development.

He says the advantages of running a national business from Adelaide include access to a skilled workforce, lifestyle benefits and the ability to easily service markets across Australia and increasingly, internationally.

“The expansion is escalating due to word of mouth and the web and we are keeping up well with our growth,” Mr Cuthbertson says.

Clintel manages some of the largest and most complex health sites in Australia through its CareRight Clinical Software.

Its work has included putting in place software systems to help Victoria’s Department of Justice manage the health of all Victoria’s prisoners; SA’s Department of Health; large private West Australian aged care provider Vincentcare, which accommodates people with mental illness or who are homeless; and Singaporean healthcare providers.

By focusing on niche areas, Clintel has expanded to service about 150 entities around Australia

.It has provided 24 hours a day support for many years for ExcelCare – a clinical system used by nurses in most major metropolitan and regional public hospitals.

In the past decade, Clintel has invested heavily in the development of a web-based care management system for Day Hospital Software and Hospital Management Software.

This was implemented at the largest multi-site private aged care nursing home provider in SA in 2008.

Clintel won a tender to supply an electronic health records system to Victoria’s Justice Health Department for all prisons, correctional facilities and police cells the following year.

It has since acquired medical software used in specialist medical practices throughout Australia and has integrated systems with Medicare Australia.

“Most of our business is elsewhere in Australia and we are making inroads in Singapore and we’re keen to expand further internationally,” Mr Cuthbertson says.
