CareRight and Genea Fertility build integrated solution for day hospitals

Healthcare software developer Clintel Systems has worked with fertility treatment provider Genea to build and implement a fully integrated quoting, billing and claiming solution for Genea’s day surgeries.

The CareRight solution also includes clinical coding and statutory reporting capabilities, as well as a number of specialist integrations to provide a full day surgery management solution.

A Clintel spokesperson said CareRight integrates into existing systems, replacing a number of legacy components with a modern, enterprise-ready patient administration system and electronic medical record.It also integrates with platforms such as Salesforce, BabySentry and MyGenea, Genea’s patient app.

The solution sits within a workflow management system including workflow control, smart forms, and task management. This means CareRight can be readily configured to mirror client specific requirements and workflows, documents, and clinical and business processes.

The spokesperson said the roll-out began with a detailed implementation planning study of Genea’s current workflows and business processes across its 14 locations in Australia, which was reviewed by CareRight’s in-house business analysis team.

“The CareRight and Genea teams worked closely to create a solution that would improve workflows to increase efficiency,” the spokesperson said.
