CareRight Launches Dedicated Cancer Care Solution to Support Connected Oncology, Supportive Care and Survivorship Services

CareRight Cancer Care ia a configurable digital platform designed for the complex operational, clinical and administrative workflows of modern cancer care providers.

Clintel Systems has launched a dedicated CareRight Cancer Care solution, supported by a new landing page showcasing how the CareRight platform can be configured for the diverse and complex needs of cancer care organisations.

Built on CareRight’s established clinical case management, outpatient and hospital platform capabilities, CareRight Cancer Care brings together referral management, intake, triage, treatment readiness, care coordination, scheduling, billing, reporting, accommodation, transport and survivorship workflows in one connected digital environment.

Cancer care delivery is rarely linear. Patients, families and carers often move across multiple services, locations, clinicians, funding models and support programs. These journeys may include oncology treatment, allied health, supportive care, survivorship services, family accommodation, patient transport, community-based support and follow-up. For many organisations, these workflows are still managed across disconnected systems, spreadsheets, paper forms and manual administrative processes.

CareRight Cancer Care has been designed to help reduce this fragmentation.

“Cancer care organisations are managing some of the most complex and sensitive workflows in healthcare,” said Tim Macdonald, Commercial Director at Clintel Systems. “The opportunity with CareRight Cancer Care is to give these teams a configurable platform that reflects how they actually deliver care — from referral and intake through to treatment coordination, supportive services, accommodation, transport, billing and reporting.”

The new CareRight Cancer Care landing page outlines how the platform can support a broad range of cancer service models, including medical oncology, radiation oncology, supportive care, survivorship programs, allied health and wellness services, specialist outpatient clinics, not-for-profit cancer organisations and multi-site service networks.

A key focus of the solution is its ability to support workflows that are often unique to cancer care environments. This includes carer and family accommodation, where a parent, carer or family member may need to stay onsite to support a patient, without being treated as a clinical inpatient admission. CareRight can support these workflows through configurable accommodation admission categories, room and bed allocation, and operational occupancy visibility.

The solution also supports transport coordination, enabling organisations to configure vehicles as schedulable resources. This allows care teams to manage vehicle availability, appointment times, pick-up or destination details, driver instructions and smart form documentation for transport encounters, mobile care visits or community-based support services.

“Cancer care is not only about treatment episodes,” said Macdonald. “It is also about the practical support services that surround the patient and family. Accommodation and transport are good examples of workflows that can be mission-critical for families, but are often difficult to represent clearly in traditional clinical or administrative systems.”

CareRight Cancer Care can be configured to support:

  • Referral, intake and triage workflows
  • Digital forms, assessments and care plans
  • Treatment readiness and episode administration
  • Medical oncology and radiation oncology workflows
  • Supportive care and survivorship programs
  • Family and carer accommodation coordination
  • Transport scheduling and mobile service coordination
  • Allied health and wellness service delivery
  • Medicare, DVA, private, subsidy and third-party billing models
  • Operational reporting, dashboards and governance visibility
  • Integration and interoperability requirements

The launch reflects Clintel Systems’ broader commitment to supporting specialist healthcare providers with flexible digital platforms that can evolve around local workflows, service models and growth plans.

CareRight is already being shaped by the requirements of organisations across oncology treatment delivery, radiation oncology, blood cancer support services, skin cancer workflows, community-based supportive care, accommodation and transport coordination.

“CareRight’s strength is configurability,” said Macdonald. “Rather than forcing cancer care providers into a rigid workflow, we can work with them to configure referral pathways, service models, calendars, forms, admissions, billing rules, dashboards and reporting structures around the way they operate.”

The new landing page provides cancer care providers with a clearer view of how CareRight can support connected cancer care delivery — from first enquiry through to treatment, support, survivorship and operational visibility.
