Clintel Systems has partnered with Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) to deploy a bespoke implementation of CareRight, its digital health and care management platform.

CESA went live with CareRight this month, following an extensive collaborative implementation process led by CESA and Clintel Systems project teams.

The collaboration will digitise and streamline service coordination, clinical workflows and data management for CESA’s Improved Learning through Allied Health (CILAH) services across South Australian Catholic schools.

A scalable and secure platform will support over 50,000 students across the CESA network, enabling educators, clinicians, and school coordinators to collaborate more effectively in fostering inclusive education and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

CareRight platform
Australian-developed care management and clinical software platform CareRight will serve as the central platform for referrals, case management, consultation and reporting, replacing legacy paper-based processes with a unified digital system that enhances transparency, efficiency and data integrity.

CESA Allied Health Manager Kim Wigg said: “The platform enables a more connected and efficient approach to service delivery, allowing educators, clinicians, and school leaders to work together in real time to support students.

“The integration of a dedicated telepractice solution also means we can extend the reach of allied health services to regional and remote schools, ensuring equitable access to support regardless of location.”

The deployment reflects a custom-built configuration of CareRight, tailored to CESA’s multidisciplinary service model. This includes end-to-end workflows for direct and indirect student services, integration with CIVICA systems, and SAML (OKTA) single sign-on for secure user authentication.

Features include:

  • Smart Forms and automated workflows for referrals, assessments, and case management.
  • Integrated scheduling, billing, and reporting to manage both clinical and school-based services.
  • Custom dashboards and role-based access for practitioners, educators, and administrators.
  • Comprehensive data capture and warehousing, supporting reporting, governance, and performance metrics.
  • Train-the-trainer and on-site education programs to support seamless adoption across the CESA network.

Vision for student learning
“This partnership with CESA is an important milestone for CareRight and for digital health innovation in education,” said Clintel Systems Sales Director Tim Macdonald.

“Together, we’re building a model that not only supports today’s student wellbeing needs but also establishes a scalable foundation for system-wide digital care coordination in the education sector.”

CareRight’s adaptability allowed for future integrations with third-party providers, telehealth capabilities, and data-driven insights that informed both school-level and system-wide wellbeing initiatives, he said.
